  1. Endangered species?

I would say that Christians were an “endangered species” in Turkey way back *before* the Genocide.

At this point, in 2012, or even back in 1923, Christians are basically non-existent. It’s too late. The idea that Turkey can atone or “make good” at this late stage is simply absurd.
By the way, has this United States Commission on International Religious Freedom asserted that Turkey committed genocide?

    • Excellent Point David jan.

It is unfortunate that all this evidence yet US and those countries that are afraid or better yet “why should we poke Turkey..when we can use them to our advantage and for our greedy selves” still can look into the eyes of the victims and lie like HIllary and the entire Obama Administration.. then what do you expect from Turkey? continuation of bullying, lying, denying and destroying…

  2. The key word in describing the policies of the AKP towards Christian minorities is GESTURE. There really have been no substantive changes in real terms. A web of rhetoric and a few speeches targeted to western audiences that are intended to make Erdogan look like the great reformer. Returns the million of dollars of property to the churches that will provide a financial basis for their survival.
Allow the restoration of Ani which sits in ruin. Badarak and pilgrimages to Akhtamar unrestrained. The seminary. Interference in the running of the Patriarchate etc , etc, etc. Pick any one as a barometer of change. Anything less is fraudulent and a continuation of the policy of disrespect and intolerance.

  3. We need Turkey to reform itself, the amount of crimes on their hands are too great but yet their social atmosphere towards ethnic minorities is still racist, social pathogenic and disturbing.

I can not see anybody being called a human being if they can not show empathy, sympathy and compassion for their fellow human cousins that are in danger, hurt or in trouble. The reason why human beings evolved is because of our ability to show appreciation for art, to show empathy and to be sympathetic …

IF we want a free and just world, we can all start with change in Turkey.
