Syrian Army in Full Control of Kessab

DAMASCUS, Syria–The Syrian Army officially announced its recapture of Kessab on June 15, and said that it had “restored stability and security” in that town, which was attacked by al Qaeda-linked terrorists who stormed the area from Turkey, reported Reuters.

The Army also said that engineering teams were removing mines and explosives planted by “terrorist gangs,” and that entry into the city was restricted until that operation was completed.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said clashes in the area continued from around midnight on June 14, but did not give casualty figures

The withdrawal of most rebel forces from the village—including some linked to al-Qaida—is another blow to an opposition that has been undermined by recent gains by Assad’s forces and by infighting, reported Reuters.

The al Qaeda-affiliated militants began abandoning Kessab on June 15, and by the evening, the Aleppo-based Gandzasar newspaper reported that Syrian army forces had advanced onto the city square and seized control of the strategic town.

  1. Kudos to Syrian Arab Army.

God bless the SAA soldiers*, including several dozen Syrian-Armenian members, who gave their young lives for Syria, to prevent ISIS/ISIL cannibals from murdering everyone in Syria who does not submit to their psychopathic rule and their twisted interpretation of Islam.

Anyone who doubts what will happen in Syria if these Sunni cannibals ever win, look at what’s happening in Iraq: the savages openly boasted about tying up and mass-murdering several hundred Iraqi security men who happened to be Shia Muslims**.

    * Mainsteam Media, aka Neocon Propaganda Ministry, breathlessly repeat the number of Syrians and others killed in the civil war Neocons themselves instigated and have kept going.
The estimated number killed as of June 2014 is about 150,000. By clever phrasing, the NPM leaves the impression with the reader that ‘the regime’ is responsible for all the deaths. Fact is, the Syrian government troops and volunteers KIA are about 2X those of the foreign invaders trying to wreck Syria with massive help from Riyadh and NATO (US, France, Turkey.)

** The Western media who falsely accused Syrian Gov of several alleged ‘war crimes’ (…later proven to be false), is strangely silent, even though ISIS/ISIL videotaped and publicized their war crimes for all to see.

  2. That’s correct Avery, and I am dumbfounded about what a bunch of slimeballs the French have proven themselves to be in this. France? Really? Where that came from I don’t know, while having a massive Armenian industrious population with roots and family connections in Lebanon and Syria, and here their government shamelessly supports the toppling of a secular Syrian government who has not laid a finger on its minorities, nor done anything wrong or different than any other country would do, all the while supporting a bunch of crazed throat-slitting cannibal savages. To top it off, they promise to criminalize the denial of the Armenian Genocide right after they prove their hypocrisy by not criminalizing it. I guess after they destroyed Armenian Cilicia 100 years ago, and gave it to the Turks whole, instead of mandating a small country for the survivors of the Armenian Genocide, we should not be surprised after all.

And as if this was not all enough, lately they tried to refer the Syrian government to the International Criminal Court – perhaps that was the icing on the cake.

Talk about a mockery of justice:
The Criminals Want To Charge Their Victim With Crimes.

It’s no wonder we haven’t had justice for the Armenian Genocide for a century now – look what we’re dealing with… and this is just one of the countries that supposedly “supports us”.

  3. It’s certainly nice to see that the Syrian armed forces have finally liberated the town of Kessab from those Turk supported Islamic terrorists. Hopefully, the community of Armenians who were previously living in Kessab will be able to return to their town after the Syrian engineering teams remove the mines and explosives planted by those Islamic terrorist gangs.

As for the United States and its other western power allies, they again look like huge hypocrites in all of this. They pretend that they are fighting a “war on terror,” when in fact, it is they who are supporting the “war on terror,” by taking absolutely no action against these Islamic terrorist gangs who’ve terrorized Syria’s Christian communites, nor taking any action against the Islamic terrorist nation of Turkey who happens to be the ringleader in all of this.

    • I completely agree with Yerevanian’s statement.

The White House, as well as the Pentagon and U.S. State Department, and its Western Power Alliances do look hypocritical, and seem to be operating without a moral compass. During the first year of the Obama Administration, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s arranged a trip to Turkey, where she was photographed standing over the Tomb of Ataturk, as one of her first diplomatic travel tours.

As for Turkey, one only needs to observe the Internet War of Turkish genocide denialism, to understand the depth of evil, from which Turkey is now submerged. Now, we Turkish logistical support for the terrorist attack upon Kassab, Syria, which came as no real surprise to me.
