Lowell ‘Gomideh’ to Present Aghjayan Talk on Sept. 20

LOWELL, Mass.—The Lowell “Aharonian” Gomideh on Sat., Sept. 20, will celebrate the 23rd anniversary of Armenian Independence Day with an exciting program at the ARS Community Center, at 142 Liberty St. in Lowell.

Historian George Aghjayan, in a talk titled “Why Western Armenia?”, will present a narrated slide presentation following his recent 10-day pilgrimage to the region. The program will also feature a musical interlude with Greg Krikorian on oud and Michael Sabounjian on keyboard.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails, followed by dinner, the program, and entertainment. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students, and will be sold at the door.
