Director of Gyumri IT Center to Speak at AMA

WATERTOWN, Mass.—On Tues., Sept. 30, Amalya Yeghoyan, the executive director of the Gyumri Information Technology Center (GITC), will speak at the Armenian Museum of America (AMA) in Watertown.

The Gyumri Information Technology Center (GITC) was established 10 years ago to educate information technology (IT) specialists and promote economic development in Gyumri, Armenia’s second-largest city, and one that was heavily damaged during the 1988 earthquake.

Yeghoyan will discuss GITC’s educational program as well as its software and web-development services, which are available to clients both within and outside of Armenia. The talk will be in English. She will be available for questions and to meet with the community following her talk. Attendance is free and refreshments will be served.

The talk begins at 7:30 p.m. at AMA, located on 65 Main St. in Watertown. It is sponsored by the Armenian Museum of America, the Armenian Business Network (ABN), and the National Association for Armenian Studies and Research. There is ample parking in back of the building.
